Red OZiegenleder with blind fillets, 12 ivory replicas on the front cover and 2 metal closures in OPlexiglas-Schuber (lightly dusted, with mounted adhesive shield). ==References====External links== One of 180 copies of the special edition with ivory replicas on the front cover (total edition: 480). The original ivory tablets, which were inserted into the front cover of the book cover covered with red leather, are most likely from the 11th century. ==References====External links==* Official website The Salzburg Perikopenbuch is a magnificent example of the Ottonian book art, which seamlessly links to Carolingian book painting. It was built around 1020 in Salzburg or Regensburg, probably for the Salzburg Archbishop Hartwig. The extremely sumptuous manuscript with numerous miniatures, pompous and gold initials can be seen as a counterpart to the Pericopen Book of Henry II, which is also one of the most important pictorial manuscripts of European book art. – Almost as new.
