Interesting lot composed of two emblematic works of the Sicilian culture of the late eighteenth century. The first is the rare second edition (only two copies recorded in OPAC) of the moral poem of Giuseppe Logoteta, in which the famous Catalan jurist and poet addresses, according to the Enlightenment sensibilities, the themes of ethics, virtue and duties of man. The second is the first edition of the eulogy dedicated by Francesco Carelli to Gabriele Lancelotto Castello, Prince of Torremuzza, among the major scholars, antiques and numismatics of his time, a fundamental figure for the rediscovery of Sicilian antiquities and for the development of historical studies on the island.
