Rare edition of this collection of tables dedicated to the architecture of the Laurentian Medici Library, with particular attention to the windows and architectural details of the facade. The work documents one of the greatest examples of Florentine Mannerist architecture, designed by Michelangelo from 1523 at the will of Clement VII (1478-1534). At the departure of the artist from Florence in 1534 the masonry of the reading room had been completed; the yard continued later on the basis of his drawings and indications left to the continuers. Of particular value is the figurative anti-port, engraved by Carlo Faucci (1729-1784) in 1756 by a painting by Giuseppe Zocchi (1711-1767). Folio (440 × 290 mm).
