Considered one of the fundamental sources for the administrative and political history of the Kingdom of Sicily, the work reconstructs, in chronological order, the biographies and the work of the viceroys, lieutenants and presidents who ruled the island from the Aragonese conquest until the eighteenth century. The chronology begins with the White Queen of Navarre, who was vicarious of the Kingdom in 1409, and closes with Serafino Filangeri, Archbishop of Palermo, president of the kingdom in 1773. 5 volumes, 4to (256 x 205mm).
