Interesting documentary nucleus on institutional disputes that affected the Order of Malta's government in the last years of its independence between the Common Treasure, the Language of Italy, the Grand Priory of Venice and the Order's other main languages (Provence, Auvergne, France, Aragon, Alemagna, Castile and Anglo-Bavara). The collection allows to reconstruct the evolution of the litigation from the legal, financial and constitutional point of view, highlighting the tensions that have arisen between the central administration of the Order and the autonomy of the national priories in the management of pensions and their respective competences. Complete the lot a Venetian procedural pamphlet concerning a commercial and maritime dispute concerning the captain of the Venetians ship La Bella Madre 5 leaflets in folio, imprinted on vergata paper, preserved loose.
