ANDREAE, Antonius (XIV sec.) Questions subtilissime super... metaphisice Aristotelis [CON:] Scriptum aureum super metaphysicam Aristotelis. Venice: Antonio da Strada, 24 Dec. 1481 [E:] 21 Nov. 1482. Together with two very wild Venetian incunabole editions on the market (only 4 copies passed in auction in the last 50 years, RBH) dedicated to Aristotle's Metaphysics. The first contains the Quaestiones by Antonio Andres, a Catalan Franciscan philosopher of the early fourteenth century and a follower of Giovanni Duns Scoto, whose interpretation of Aristotelian philosophy had a wide circulation in late medieval school teaching. The second work presents the text and commentary to the Aristotelian Metaphysics in the new Latin translation edited by Andres. Two works in one volume, Folio (295 x 210mm). Initial address books in red and blue, text on two columns, clean (some hole of tarlo that touches the text, path to tarlo at the lower edge of the second volume that does not touch the text). Binding of the middle of the nineteenth century with gold title and year on dowel, blue cuts. Origin: several marginal notes coeve, note to the looks and probable note of purchase price to the verso of the last card. (1)
