ARISTOTEL (384-322 B.C.). Opera omnia. Florence: Heirs of Filippo Giunta, 1550-1552. Monumental edition of the complete works of Aristotle, among the most ambitious typographical enterprises of the Italian Renaissance and one of the best results achieved by the printing works of the Giunta. The work was published in eleven volumes between 1550 and 1552 under the direction of Lucantonio Giunta il Giovane, who accompanied it with his own dedicatory epistle and obtained, to protect the great publishing investment, the privileges granted by Pope Julius III, by the King of France Henry II and the Republic of Venice. Due to the size of the project, the quality of the execution and the prestige of the privileges that accompany it, it is one of the most important publishing companies dedicated to Aristotle in the 16th century. 11 volumes in 5 volumes, folio (307 x 215mm). General frontispiece with coat of arms of the dedicator Bernardo Salviati (1508-1568) each volume with independent frontispium with typographical brand of the Giunta, numerous illustrations in the text, Latin and Greek characters, initials and xylographic friezes.
