The text brings together the municipal statutes, accompanied by glosses, provisions and a broad analytical index, documenting the civil, administrative and judicial order of the city in the sixteenth century. The volume is accompanied by an interesting nucleus of 16th century Bolognese criminal legislation, centered on the Sanctiones ad causas criminales spectantes of 1577, to which are linked four other works of Bologna law of the same century.
