Carta della Liguria takes from the "Mercurio Geografico" the most important cartographic collection published by the Roman publisher Domenico De Rossi between the second half of the seventeenth and the first decades of the eighteenth century. The paper was engraved by Antonio Barbey on the basis of the reliefs of the mathematician and military engineer Giuseppe Chafrion, at the service of the Spanish monarchy, author of one of the most accurate representations of Liguria and the neighboring territories of the time. Two unassembled calcographic sheets (500 x 715mm each), designed to form a single large paper. Engraved by Antonio Barbey and published by Domenico De Rossi, with the signatures of the authors in the plate and mark of the Regia Calcography of Rome (flowering). (2)
