Rare heirloom linked to the historic Beijing-Paris car race of 1907, the first major intercontinental car competition, won by Prince Scipione Borghese with Luigi Barzini as a reporter and travel companion. The menu, prepared for a lunch with musical accompaniment at the Unione Cooperativa restaurant in Milan A.G. Berlin, brings to the verso the signed pencils of the two Italian protagonists, probably affixed on the occasion of the celebrations for their passage in the German capital, a few days before the triumphal arrival in Paris on 10 August 1907, a festivity that consecrated definitely the prestige of Italian motoring on the international scene.
