Great perspective view of the first Central Station of Milan, one of the main symbols of urban modernization of the city in the second half of the nineteenth century. The building, designed by French architect Louis-Jules César Bouchot (1817-1907), was inaugurated in 1864 as the end of the Milanese railway network and remained in operation until 1931, when it was definitively replaced by the current Central Station, created by Ulysses Stacchini. Created as an accurate architectonic design, the table returns with remarkable precision the main façade of the building, documenting the elegant forms of eclectic taste and offering a valuable testimony of the railway Milan before the radical urban transformations of the twentieth century.
